Philosophical Library
The Barqawi Library is one of the main sections of the Philosophy House, and is named in honour of the philosopher Dr. Ahmed Al-Barqawi, Dean of the House of Philosophy, and it is planned that the Library will comprise approximately 50,000 books in various areas of philosophy.
The Library distinguishes itself as the first of its kind, which combines both the general and the specialized nature; it is an open library for all segments of society, while specialized in philosophy in its various branches and subjects, with a wide range of books covering various philosophical fields.
The Library is a vital part of the philosophy house system, contributing to facilitating its access to philosophical knowledge in all its forms. Since the opening of the philosophy house, the Library has evolved significantly to become a centre rich in sources of knowledge available to members of society for research, reconnaissance, borrowing, etc.
The Library of Labraqawi also seeks to entrench moral, intellectual and cultural values in society by providing diverse sources of information, both paper and electronic, and participating in conferences and events that promote the goals of the Philosophy House.
The Barqawi Library will receive visitors from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from Friday to Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It also offers its services to Library members at additional times outside these hours, in advance coordination with the Library Officer.
