The first thought that comes to mind when examining the relationship between literature and philosophy is that the classical meaning of literature refers to the refinement of the human spirit and morals, creating a communicative and dialogical being that masters the ways of relating to oneself, one’s spirit, and intellect on one side, and to others, society, and the world on the other. Literature is a way of consciousness about life, an integrated behavioral manner, and this is confirmed by writings related to the aesthetics and ethics of communication, where a person who is well mannered engages in a beautiful relationship with others.
On the other hand, what is the function of philosophy if not to create a being aware of itself, its problems, and its world, and aware of the importance of helping to build this world and making it beautiful, just, or acceptable? What is philosophy if it is not the realization of a participatory human existence where humans work to understand themselves and others?
