We must understand that everything that befalls a person from the outside is nothingness and void, as their core does not depend on external matters but entirely on the value they grant themselves. This is a steadfast power that remains unshaken by external changes. Thus, the search for the self is a rightful and human duty, and one cannot investigate the self except by identifying what distinguishes it from other creatures, which we refer to as “reason.” Therefore, it is more fitting to engage with reason and understand it in itself and then in its relationship with other things. This engagement is merely an attempt to activate thought, raise questions, and foresee the relationship between talent and genius.
