Thanks to their intelligence, human beings have been able to invent thousands of things that have made their life easier. They have tamed nature, just as one would domesticate a wild animal.

However, while building civilization, they felt superior to all other living beings. Thus, they began to treat nature as a huge reservoir from which they could take whatever they wanted, as much as they wanted, or as a giant trash bin in which to throw anything they wished, or as an object that could be manipulated in any direction.

Moreover, humanity forgot that it is one of the many creatures of nature, which are all closely interconnected.
