The philosophy at the time of Covid

The COVID world is exactly the same as it was before, just more so. Drastic changes have occurred in all walks of life; events have accelerated, problems have worsened, and existing solutions are no longer relevant. Faced with this whole new realism, the question persistently arises: “What can philosophy achieve in such a world?” Today, I believe there are at least two opportunities for philosophy. The first is that philosophers can seize this historical moment to leave their imprint on nearly every sector of social, political, and ethical life. The second unique opportunity is to demonstrate their ability to create and articulate new concepts in response to recent events. New events call for new ways of thinking and behaving that alter our worldview. COVID is not just an amplification of existing power structures. It has also shifted our perspective on the significance of social and viral mobility. Could the concept of “motion” provide us with a fresh view of the world?
