The Philosophy House was launched in Fujairah as a first-of-its-kind project in the region to promote the philosophy and scientific and logical thinking. It was announced at the opening ceremony of “The Road to Light”, an intellectual event hosted at the Al Bahar Hotel in Fujairah which several dignitaries attended.
In his keynote speech, Dr. Ahmed Barqawi stressed the importance of philosophy and its enlightening role as the science of thinking. He defined philosophy, as “It is the creativity of the cognitive tool concept essential for thinking.”
Dr. Barqawi added, “To think is to abide by the frameworks of logic. The philosopher is the one who thinks logically about the world’s issues. Every thought lacking logical bases can be illusions, wishes, or what comes to mind without proof; they are any negative forms of thinking.”
