Fujairah Philosophical Circle Established

Fujairah, March 19th, WAM: Today, The Philosophy House announced the establishment of the Fujairah Philosophical Circle. It aims to discuss the relationship between Arab and international philosophy, bringing together the elites, and setting up a philosophical discourse on the reality of philosophy as part of the Philosophy House’s efforts to generate Arab philosophical awareness.
The circle consisted of Dr. Ahmed Barqawi, Dean of the Philosophy House, Dr. Fathi Triki, holder of the UNESCO Chair for Philosophy in the Arab World, Dr. Mohamed Al-Misbahi, Professor at Mohammed V University – Rabat, Dr. Malika Ben Douda, University Professor, Algeria. It also included Dr. Mosheer Aoun, Emeritus Professor at the Lebanese University, Dr. Hassan Hammad, Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Arts and Professor of Philosophy Chair of UNESCO at Zagazig University, and Dr. Musa Barhouma, Professor at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication, the American University in Dubai.
Dr. Ahmed Barqawi emphasized that the seminar’s agenda items will be approved at the Fujairah Philosophical Circle members’ meeting on March 18-19, 2022.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Samahi, Director of the Philosophy House, stated that the circle would tackle contemporary human affairs as philosophical issues associated with human destiny and the status of man in a world experiencing rapid progress in numerous fields. WAM, Saeed Mahboub/Zakaria Muhi Al Deen.
